About Us

Jamie, a registered dietitian with a master’s degree in clinical nutrition, is passionate about working with children of all ages and medical backgrounds, incorporating the principles of the Mediterranean Diet as her food philosophy.

Ashley, a Mediterranean Diet enthusiast, Mom of 3, and business expert, is constantly trying to inspire her busy kids to eat more veggies.

Together, Ashley and Jamie started “The Mediterranean Movement” to help families achieve optimal health through a Mediterranean-inspired lifestyle. We both lost our mothers to cancer as children and are passionate about the role of healthy eating in the lives of families. We are so glad that you are here and cannot wait to meet you!

The Recipe Plan brought me out of an unhealthy/uninspired cooking rut and set me back on track. It provides a meal plan for the whole week, complete with a grocery list and helpful pictures of the finished product. The recipes are easy to follow and come together quickly. We requested a dairy-free plan to accommodate my husband, and the rest of us don't even miss it. With everything else going on, not having to agonize over what to cook has been a blessing! Mouth-watering, delicious!

Your blog has been a great recipe source for me! After almost 6 years of garbage eating, having 3 children, and dealing with extreme anxiety and depression I realized my biggest source of contention was food. I was diagnosed with celiac disease and lactose intolerance stopped eating overly processed and fast food and have felt so much better since! I'm now trying to adopt a fully Mediterranean Diet for continued wellness.

I joined the Mediterranean Movement (Nutrition Program) because one, I want to be knowledgeable about what I should be putting in my body, and two, because I crave sugar like crazy! I have learned to not be afraid of foods that contain fat or carbohydrates. I have also learned that your body needs nutrients from various types of foods such as nuts, seeds and whole grains.
