The program starts on January 17, 2021 and will run for 4 weeks.
No “special foods” required! While there are no specific foods required for this program, we will provide you with a grocery list that encompasses the recommended foods for the program. You may use this as a guide while grocery shopping each week, taking into account you and your family’s food preferences, but it is not required that you purchase all (or any) of the foods from this list.
The Program also comes with a recipe book if you prefer cooking from recipes. These are delicious, nutritious recipes that include options for breakfast, lunch/dinner, and snacks. These recipes were created with oversight from our Registered Dietitian to help fuel you throughout your day! Plenty of fiber, protein, healthy fat, vitamins, and more will not only help you get healthier but also boost your energy, leaving you feeling less tired and more awesome.
Throughout the Program, you will find yourself buying more vegetables or fruits, more whole grains, more healthy fats, and less sugar and processed foods. Pretty much everything you eat in this program can be found at your local grocery store and can be customized to your palate!

And by following the program, you will end the 4 weeks feeling amazing: full of energy, clear-headed, and ready to take on a brand, new year! (While we can’t guarantee how you’ll feel at the end, making these kinds of dietary changes have been shown to naturally increase energy and feelings of happiness and help you feel less tired.) Yes, definitely. For many people, it’s pretty unlikely to go a whole month without some type of celebration, festive eating occasion, or overall busy-ness. In some cases, it’s preferable to do this kind of program while you are also navigating life circumstances… because that’s how life is going to be once the program is over! You will be learning how to make healthier choices even in the midst of all the things life throws at us! As long as you have some control over the food you are eating for most of the month, this will be a great experience. We don’t recommend postponing the whole program because you have one day or a couple of days that will be more challenging. You will be forgoing all the benefits gained in the other 3.5 weeks!

The Mediterranean Diet recognizes a moderate amount of red wine as a healthy part of most diets. So, if you currently enjoy alcohol, you will be able to enjoy it in Weeks 1, 2, and 4 during this program. After the program, you will have a better idea of how to continue to integrate alcohol (if you choose) and still live a healthy lifestyle and feel amazing!
Same for sugar, red meat, processed foods, etc. This program will gradually step you down from what you are currently eating to a diet that is in line with Mediterranean Diet principles. Week 3, you will be ready to almost completely cut out some of the biggest energy zappers. See how amazing you feel! In Week 4, we will help you bring back your favorite foods (and categories of foods) in a way that is sustainable and maintains your new-found amazing health and energy.

Nope. As part of your program, you get access to our private Facebook group. This group is awesome for friendly accountability and motivation. But the entire program is self-contained outside of Facebook. You can access the Program Guide, the videos, the recipes, and all the other program materials without ever getting on Facebook.
